from press release
TOWSON, Md. – Redshirt senior attacker
Ashleigh Rohrback scored a career-high five goals to lead the No.

Monmouth on Saturday afternoon in Johnny Unitas ® Stadium. The

to 3-4 on the season.
“It was important that we stepped out and proved to ourselves what we’re capable of and we did that today,” said Towson Head Coach Sonia LaMonica. “The team responded especially in the second half. Our riding game was effective, we came out and applied some pressure and came out with some good plays. We spread the field well in our own clearing game.”
Towson opened the scoring at 26:16 as sophomore attacker Alyssa Ferro converted a free position shot for the goal. The Tigers added to their lead at 21:25 as Rohrback tallied her first goal of the day.
Monmouth (1-4) got on the board at 14:49 as Cassie Campasano found the back of the net. Towson received its next two goals from freshmen Gabby Cha and Samantha Brookhart, respectively and took a 4-1 lead with 12:41 to play in the half.
Campasano’s second goal of the day along with a goal from the Hawks’ Stephanie Anderson cut the Tiger lead to 4-3 with 2:04 to go in the half. Moore’s goal sent Towson into the intermission with a 5-3 lead.
The Tigers outshot Monmouth 18-9 in the first half and held a 5-4 edge in draw controls. Monmouth made six saves to Towson’s two in the first stanza.

Redshirt junior attacker Andi Raymond scored twice during that stretch for the Tigers while sophomore midfielder Breanna Hamm converted a free position shot.
Monmouth halted the Tiger run with a pair of free position goals, which made it an 8-5 game with 20:31 to play. However, Anderson’s goal at 20:31 was the last scored by Monmouth in the game.
Towson closed the game on a 5-0 run which made the final score 13-5. Rohrback struck for four straight goals in a nine minute stretch while Cha tallied her second goal of the day at 6:53 to close out the scoring.
