Champion Challenge: USA Men Intrasquad Game

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Champion Challenge concludes Sunday with the big-ticket event of the weekend: The U.S. men's national team Blue-White intrasquad scrimmage. Spots on Team USA's final roster for this July's Federation of International (FIL) Lacrosse World Championship in Denver are on the line, as the current pool of 51 players will be trimmed to 30 after today's game. The contest will be streamed live via ESPN3 (Watch ESPN).

The U.S. men practiced for two hours Friday night at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and again for about two hours Saturday morning in preparation for Sunday's game. The Blue and White rosters can be found here, and here's a breakdown of the units.

A couple of late changes to the teams: Faceoff man Anthony Kelly was sent from White to Blue, joining Mike Poppleton on that team. (Faceoff man Greg Gurenlian withdrew from consideration for the final roster earlier this week.) That leaves White with Chris Eck as its primary faceoff man, although short-stick defensive midfielder Stephen Peyser also has taken faceoffs in practice this weekend.

The other move swapped goalies Drew Adams and Kip Turner. Adams is now paired with John Galloway on White and Turner is with Jesse Schwartzman on Blue.
