| Denver Outlaws, Philadelphia Wings and U.S. team standout Drew Westervelt has signed an endorsement deal with Warrior Sports. |
WARREN, Mich. -- Warrior Sports announced
Monday the signing of Drew Westervelt to a multi- year endorsement
contract. Drew is one of the top offensive players in the game
today and will be used in a variety of marketing and advertising
initiatives at the company. In addition, Drew will play a role in
the development of new products at Warrior.
“Warrior is all about performance and giving lacrosse
players the edge to play at the top of their game” said
Westervelt. “I have always used Warrior and am fortunate to
have the advantage of competing with Warrior products in both the
MLL and FIL World Lacrosse Championships with Team USA. I am
looking forward to the opportunity to continue to grow the game
with the sports premier brand."
Westervelt was recently named to the 23-man roster of the U.S.
team that will compete in the FIL World Championship in Manchester,
England from July 14-24, 2010. A former first-round pick (fourth
overall) of the Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse, Westervelt
was the league's third-leading scorer and an All-Star in 2009. He
plays in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) with the Philadelphia
Wings, where in 2009 he was an NLL All-Star and a top-10 goal
scorer in the league. Drew is a graduate of tUMBC, where he was an
All-American and the school's No. 3 all-time scorer.
“There’s no question Drew is one of the most
dominant offensive players in the sport today, but he’s also
a guy that genuinely loves the game and wants to be out there with
young players in the community. That to me is what separates him
and makes him a perfect guy to represent our brand and support new
initiatives going forward” said Mark Millon, sports marketing
director at Warrior.
