HARTFORD, CT - The Endicott College women's lacrosse team saw its season come to an abrupt end at the hands of Trinity College on Wednesday afternoon as the Gulls fell, 19-3 to the Bantams in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Bantams scored 41 seconds into the game and seven times in the opening 11:45 of the game en route to the victory. Sophomore Sara Gunter (Kennebunk, ME/Kennebunk) broke the Gull scoring drought with an unassisted goal with 17 minutes left in the half, but the Bantams scored the next five goals to take a 12-1 lead with 5:58 left in the half.

Trinity took a 14-2 lead into the break and scored three straight goals early in the second half for a 17-2 advantage. Gunter netted her second goal of the game for 11:51 on the clock, while Valerie Feldman (Albany, NY/Guilderland) added a third goal for EC and ECAC Offensive Player of the Week Alex Pearce (Underhill, VT/Kimball Union) added an assist.

Senior goalie Erin Curry (Hampstead, NH/Gould Academy) made 10 saves in the loss. Trinity, ranked No. 11 in the nation, improves to 12-5 and advances to the NCAA Second Round at Gettysburg College on Saturday, May 12. The Blue and Green finish their season with a 13-6 record after making their second straight appearance in the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament.
