NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The Marist women's lacrosse team won its first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championship on Sunday, as the Red Foxes defeated top-seeded Fairfield 10-9. Senior goalie Liz Burkhard (Wantagh, N.Y.) was named Tournament MVP.
Marist rebounded from an 8-4 halftime deficit.
