Mile High Madness as Jones Goes Crazy in Fourth

Adam Jones scored a National Lacrosse League record six goals in the fourth quarter, including the game-winner with one second left to lift Colorado to a stunning 11-10 comeback victory over Vancouver.

Colorado peppered Vancouver goalie Tyler Richards, but couldn't get to him as Richards had 34 saves through three quarters of play and the Stealth led 9-4 entering the final 15 minutes.

Jones finally figured him out, scoring three straight goals in a span of just 33 seconds early in the fourth and his scoring run eventually reached five goals, tying the game 9-9 with 5:52 to go in the fourth. Just 22 seconds after that goal, Vancouver's Corey Small put the Stealth back in front 10-9.

Callum Crawford tied the game up for Colorado with 4:04 left and then Jones scored the game-winner on a blistering outside shot that just snuck in the corner of the goal for the Mammoth's one-goal victory.

Jeremy Noble added two goals for Colorado, the only Mammoth player besides Jones, to register multiple goals. Rhys Duch and Logan Schuss each had three goals and three assists for Vancouver and Richards finished the game with 47 saves in a losing effort.

Colorado stayed unbeaten at home in four outings and improved its NLL West-leading record to 7-2. Vancouver fell to 3-5.
