Veteran Goaltender Roik Signs With Colorado

from press release

DENVER – The Colorado Mammoth announced today that the team has signed free agent goaltender Matt Roik to a one-year agreement. Roik has played for five teams in his 11-year career, highlighted by an NLL title with the Washington Stealth in 2010.

"Matt brings the experience of having played for a championship team to our organization," said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett. "Our intent is to improve our goaltending, and Matt will compete for a spot on our roster in [training] camp."

Roik, 32, has a .752 career save percentage in 146 regular-season games. He played in 10 games in 2012 for the Toronto Rock, and represented the East Division in the 2012 NLL All-Star Game in February.

Colorado opens the 2013 season at home on HealthONE Field at Pepsi Center on Saturday, January 12 against the Washington Stealth. Season tickets are on sale now and start at just $72 apiece. To reserve your seats today, call 303.405.1101 or visit ColoradoMammoth.com.
