Minnesota Swarm Signs Giles and Gamble

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The National Lacrosse League's (NLL) Minnesota Swarm today announced that the team has signed forward Mat Giles to a two-year agreement. The Swarm also signed defenseman Scott Gamble to a one-year deal.
Giles, 35, is a 6-foot-4-inch, 245-pound forward who brings 12 years of experience to the Swarm. In 2010, Giles appeared in a total of 15 games and posted 54 points (20g, 34a) and 69 loose balls for Boston and Philadelphia. He has participated in 160 career games and tallied 420 points (193g, 227a) and 672 loose balls for Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Edmonton, Toronto, Rochester, Ottawa, Montreal, Columbus and Albany.
"Mat is a welcome addition to the Swarm. Fans should expect to see him in many roles as he provides offense, defense and experience for the Swarm this coming season," said General Manager Marty O'Neill.
Gamble, 24, is a native of Toronto, Ontario and a 2010 graduate of Elmira College. The Swarm signed the undrafted rookie as a free agent. He previously played for the Toronto Beaches in Junior 'A.' Gamble was selected 10th overall by the Brooklin Redmen in the Major Series Lacrosse's (MSL) Junior draft in 2008 and has spent the past three summers with the team.
