Rochester's Hall Wins Sportsmanship Award
from press release
Rochester Knighthawks transition player Jordan Hall has won the National Lacrosse League's Sportsmanship Award for the 2011 season. Hall's leadership both on the floor and in the community played a significant role in the success of the Knighthawks this season, which included a 10-6 regular season record and reaching the 2011 Playoffs.
The four-year pro was a key component of the Knighthawks team with 40 points on the season (18 goals, 22 assists) despite missing the first four games of the season while recovering from an injury. Hall also added 58 loose balls and forced 14 turnovers, all while only visiting the penalty box once the entire season (2 Penalty Minutes total). Hall was credited with setting a good example for the younger players on the team with his work ethic and off the floor involvement in the community.
Hall quickly became a recognizable face of the team in the Rochester community this past season. Whether it was providing instruction to local youth at coaching clinics, handing out Thanksgiving turkeys to families, or making appearances at local schools on the team's behalf, Hall was everywhere the organization needed him to be during the 2011 season.
