Mammoth Announce Changes to Staff
from press release
DENVER – The Colorado Mammoth has announced that Ed
Comeau and Sean Ferris will join the Mammoth as assistant coaches.
Comeau and Ferris have replaced Bob McMahon, Dan Pratt and Dan
Perreault. "First and foremost, Ed and Sean bring winning resumes
to the organization," said Mammoth head coach Bob Hamley. "They
know what it takes to win in the National Lacrosse League, and I
look forward to working with them."
Comeau has won the Champion's Cup five times: four as an assistant
coach with the Toronto Rock and one as the head coach of the
Rochester Knighthawks in 2007. Ferris, who was an assistant coach
for the Knighthawks' 2007 championship team that won an NLL-record
15 consecutive games, joined the Titans in 2008 with Comeau. One
year later, the Titans' championship aspirations came up just
short, falling to the Calgary Roughnecks, 12-10, in the title
game.
A former NLL head coach of the year and general manager of the
year, Comeau has twice served as the East Division head coach in
the All-Star Game.
The 2010 NLL Entry Draft will be held tomorrow night in Toronto,
Ontario. Both Comeau and Ferris are from the province.
The Mammoth's 2011 season opener is Saturday, January 8th against
the defending NLL champion Washington Stealth.
