Knighthawks Cling to No. 4 Playoff Spot

The Rochester Knighthawks defeated the Boston Blazers 11-10 at Blue Cross Arena on Saturday night. Jamie Rooney and Chris Schiller scored key goals late in the fourth quarter to give Rochester an important win as they improved to 5-6 and stayed in the playoff race.

Rochester had a balanced scoring attack, with four players scoring two goals each. Pat O'Toole stopped 37 out of 47 shots faced in the Rochester net.

Daryl Veltman led the Blazers offense with three goals and three assists. Dan Dawson added a goal and five assists. Anthony Cosmo made 35 saves on 46 shots faced.

Rochester improves to 5-6 and maintains sole possession of fourth place in the East Division. Boston falls to 7-5 and is tied with New York for second place in the East.

Both teams return to action on Friday. Boston plays at Toronto, while Rochester plays at Colorado.
