Reebok Lacrosse 10K Watermelon Challenge Comes to USL Convention

by Matt DaSilva | Lacrosse Magazine Online Staff | "Countdown to Convention"

If you haven't seen the Reebok Lacrosse 10K Watermelon Challenge video the manufacturer released earlier this year, here it is. This series -- including an extended version, a shorter promo, and a 20-second clip of US Lacrosse's own Chris Snyder attempting the shot -- will have you spitting seeds, it's so funny.

The plot: Reebok reps Brodie Merrill, Matt Alrich and Zack Greer enlist Mark Steenhuis to break down the science of a shot and figure out what it takes to bust a watermelon.

Why post it now? Reebok, the manufacturing sponsor of the US Lacrosse Coaching Education Program, has agreed to bring its Watermelon Challenge to the 2011 USL National Convention, where fans will get a chance to mix it up with pro players in the contest. It will occur during Fan Fest (Saturday, Jan. 22, 12-4 p.m.) at the Baltimore Convention Center.
