Records were set, playoff positions were solidified or eliminated and one star went down for the remainder of the year in the weekend that was for Major League Lacrosse.

Denver's John Grant, Jr. pulled ahead of Kevin Leveille in the horse race for the all-time goals record in the league, reaching 280 on his career, three ahead of Rochester's Leveille. Florida's Kieran McArdle set the all-time single season rookie mark with goal No. 31 on the year, one better than the 30 Kevin Huntley scored in 2008 for the Los Angeles Riptide.

In terms of 2014 playoffs, wins by Denver, New York, Ohio and Boston all aided their causes, with the first three all guaranteed a spot in the semifinals in two weeks and all with a potential to host a home game depending on next week's results. Boston took both a huge win on Saturday to eliminate Florida and a huge shot, losing Paul Rabil to a broken foot. They remain a game behind Ohio for the fourth and final playoff spot after the Machine came from behind to edge Rochester.
