MLL: Dino's Deuces Lead Lizards over Machine

Matt Danowski scored four goals, including an MLL record-tying three 2-pointers, in leading the Long Island Lizards to their fourth win of the season and second over the Machine. While the first two meetings between the two teams went to overtime, this one was settled in regulation, with Long Island winning 17-15.

The Machine led by one with three minutes remaining before Stephen Berger tied the game. Danowski then connected on his third 2-pointer of the night providing the margin of victory.

Stephen Peyser scored four goals for Long Island, which also got two goals each from Tim Goettelmann and John Orsen.

With the win, the Lizards improved to 4-5 on the season and are tied with the Machine and Chesapeake two games behind league leaders Boston and Denver and a game ahead of Toronto in the MLL standings.

The Machine was led by Mike Leveille and Ned Crotty, who scored three goals each in the loss.
