Epoch/LM HS Girls' National Player of the Week: Maddie Ellis, Vero Beach (Fla.)
It's been a tough stretch for Vero Beach (Fla.), but sophomore Maddie Ellis helped launch the Fighting Indians into the Top 25, as they rebounded from a pair of back-to-back losses to No. 1 McDonogh (Md.) and No. 16 Milton (Ga.).
The Florida commit tallied eight goals and six assists as the Indians won four big games in five days. Ellis' four-goal, two-assist performance paved the way for a 10-5 win over Cold Spring Harbor (N.Y.), and she then found the back of the net twice in a 6-5 win over then-No. 24 Radnor (Pa.).
Earlier in the week, Ellis recorded two goals, one assist and four draw controls in a 10-7 win over Charlotte Country Day (N.C.), and she capped the week by chipping in three assists in a 13-9 win over Bartram Trail (Fla.).
Vero Beach entered the national rankings at No. 23 this week. The Fighting Indians face another nationally ranked foe Wednesday when they host St. Anthony's (N.Y.).
Northeast Player of the Week
Charlotte Campbell, St. Anthony's (N.Y.)
The senior goalie helped the Friars open with a 13-5 win over Kellenberg (N.Y.). She recorded nine saves to limit Kellenberg's scoring, and she will be counted on a lot this season as St. Anthony's faces some tough competition. Campbell is signed to play at Virginia next year.

Midwest Player of the Week
Shayna Lutz, Glenbrook North (Ill.)
Lutz had one of the biggest games of her accomplished career, scoring five goals as Glenbrook North rallied from a 9-4 deficit to down Maine South (Ill.) 10-9. After forcing overtime with the game-tying goal, she rolled into the crease and scored the game-winner with just over a minute remaining in the first overtime period. Lutz also scored three goals in an opening win over Libertyville (Ill.) on March 15 and added four goals in a 9-6 win over St. Ignatius (Ill.) on March 22.

West Player of the Week
Bridget Sutter, Colorado Academy (Colo.)
The junior goalkeeper came up big in a 7-5 win over then-No. 1 St. Ignatius (Calif.), recording 15 saves to preserve the win. She then added six saves in a 13-1 win over Sacred Heart Prep (Calif.) two days later. Sutter has a 3.5 goals against average this season, averaging 10 saves a game.
