Hannah Keating, Agnes Irwin (Pa.)

The sophomore scored four goals and had four draw controls as Agnes Irwin defeated Episcopal Academy (Pa.) 13-11 last week. The win was Agnes Irwin's first victory over Episcopal since 2006. The game was tied 6-6 at the half.

Game of the Week 

James Madison (Va.) at St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.), May 5

This is a battle of the top public school versus the top private school in Virginia and James Madison will likely be 10-0 when they meet nationally ranked St. Stephen's & St. Agnes. the Warhawks only have a game against an 0-7 Fairfax team on May 2 between them and the Saints. SSSA is coming off a loss to Roland Park (Md.), but has games against Stone Ridge (Md.) and Good Counsel (Md.) before the get to James Madison. The Warhawks are defeating their opponents by an average of 11 goals per game this season and have allowed more than eight just twice this season. The Saints have scored at least 11 goals in every game but two this year.

Mid-Atlantic Region Top 10

1. McDonogh (Md.), 17-0
The Eagles not only broke the record for longest winning streak in girls lacrosse, but added to it and stand at 108 straight wins. The regular season ends with an April 29 game against Century (Md.).

2. Moorestown (N.J.), 13-0
The Quakers went 3-0 last week with wins over Northern Burlington (N.J.), Delran (N.J.) and Ridgewood (N.J.). They scored 48 goals in the three victories.

3. St. Stephen's & St. Agnes (Va.), 19-1
The Saints stumbled last week with a 12-11 loss to Roland Park (Md.). It was the third game in three days for the Saints, which included a 19-7 win over St. Ignatius Prep (Calif.).

4. Notre Dame Prep (Md.), 9-4
The Blazers stumbled last week, losing a surprising 12-11 overtime game against a 3-10 Garrison Forest (Md.) team.

5. Garnet Valley (Pa.), 13-1
The Jaguars rebounded from the 13-12 loss to Good Counsel with a 3-0 week. They scored 61 goals and allowed just 23 in the victories.

6. Good Counsel (Md.), 9-4
The Falcons defeated St. Mary's (Md.) 18-13, but fell 12-8 to Broadneck last week. They have conference rivals Holy Cross (Md.) and St. Mary's Ryken (Md.) in addition to Winters Mill (Md.) this week.

7. Mount Hebron (Md.), 11-1
The Vikings defeated rival Marriotts Ridge (Md.) 11-10 last week to move up in the rankings this week. If history is an indicator, these two teams will meet again in a few weeks in the postseason.

8. Bishop Ireton (Va.), 12-4
The Cardinals went 1-2 in their trip to Georgia, falling to Milton (Ga.) and Loyola Academy (Ill.) by a combined three goals, but defeating Carondelet (Calif.) 18-7.

9. Roland Park (Md.), 12-4
The Reds are tied for No. 2 team in the IAAM standings and posted a big win with a 12-11 victory over St. Stephen's & St. Agnes. They also defeated St. Mary's 18-11 to rebound from back-to-back losses the previous week.

10. Marriotts Ridge (Md.), 10-2
Marriotts Ridge suffered its second loss of the year when it lost to rival Mount Hebron 11-10.

Notes

In big upset in the IAAM last week, Garrison Forest (Md.) defeated nationally ranked Notre Dame Prep (Md.) 12-11 in double overtime last Wednesday. Lucy Swindell scored four goals, including the tying goal with 20 seconds left and the game-winning goal with 16 second left in the second overtime. The Grizzlies are 3-9 on the season while the Blazers are 9-4.

Staying in the IAAM, Roland Park (Md.) caused quite a stir among the Top 25 this week, defeating both St. Stephen's & St. Agnes (Va.) and Georgetown Visitation (D.C.) as part of the Red Hot Invitational on Saturday. Francesca Whitehurst had 12 goals in the two wins over Top 25 teams. The Reds have won three straight games since back-to-back losses to Broadneck (Md.) and St. Paul's (Md.). Roland Park is tied for second in the IAAM with Notre Dame Prep.

Jen Giles scored five goals, including the game-winner as Mount Hebron (Md.) defeated rival Marriotts Ridge (Md.) 11-10 on Saturday. Giles scored the game-winner on a free position with 1:07 left in the game. The win broke Marriotts Ridge 34 game regular season winning streak against Howard County opponents that dated back to 2011. The game was played after a postponement from Friday when rain soaked the Baltimore area. The win gave Mount Hebron its first win against a Top 25 team this season. They lost to McDonogh (Md.) earlier this year. ... Brittany Edwards scored eight goals as Great Valley (Pa.) defeated Coatesville 19-3 last week.
