The No. 1 team in last year's final Nike/US Lacrosse High School Girls' Lacrosse National Top 25 hangs on to the top spot in the preseason rankings for 2014, as everybody in the lacrosse world continues to chase McDonogh (Md.), which went 22-0 and won its fifth-straight Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland championship, stretching its win streak to 91 games.

Manhasset (N.Y.) moves up to the No. 2 spot in the preseason after ending 2014 at No. 10, expected to challenge for the New York Class B title this spring after making the semifinals a year ago. Moorestown moves up to No. 3 after finishing No. 5 with its Tournament of Champions title in 2013, followed by defending PIAA champion Harriton (Pa.) and Maryvale Prep (Md.) rounding out the Top 5.

Overall, nine states and Washington, D.C., are represented in the Nike/US Lacrosse Top 25, which will be updated weekly throughout the high school season as voted upon by Lacrosse Magazine writers, high school coaches and US Lacrosse area representatives in the field.
