First Florida Lacrosse Festival Coming to Kissimmee

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Central Florida Sports Commission welcomes the Florida Lacrosse Festival to Central Florida. This inaugural event, held January 4-6, 2013 at Austin-Tindall Regional Park in Kissimmee, will draw more than 60 youth and high school boys lacrosse teams from across North America. As part of the Championship Lacrosse Series, the Florida Lacrosse Festival will offer elite competition and exposure to the next level of the sport. The event will also feature an interactive fan festival and live entertainment.

"I am delighted to welcome this unique event and their talented athletes to Central Florida" said John Bisignano, president of the Central Florida Sports Commission. "We look forward to working with Championship Lacrosse Series to ensure the success of this event."

Combining all that Kissimmee and Central Florida have to offer with elite competition on pristine fields, will truly make the Florida Lacrosse Festival a one-of-a-kind lacrosse experience. In addition, during the event, the best U19 team from the United States will compete against the best U19 team from Canada in a three-game series for the Brogden Cup.

Austin-Tindall Regional Park features eight immaculately maintained multi-purpose fields and is only 10 miles from the Orlando International Airport. Known as one of the best sports complexes in the nation, Austin-Tindall Regional Park has hosted team training for the World Cup and Olympic Soccer as well as numerous national championship events. Austin-Tindall is also the annual home of World Class Lacrosse Pre-Season Training in February and March.
