Lacrosse Day of Champions Returns to Manhasset
from press release
The Indians Rock Community Foundation is preparing for its third
annual Lacrosse Day of Champions to be held at Manhasset High
School. This year the Day of Champions will feature two events
spread out over four separate days.
The first event will take place over the weekend of March 5th, 6th,
and 7th. It will include a boys' and girls' youth tournament for
grades 4-9 and a Division III college game between
Haverford College men's lacrosse (pre-season #4)
and St. Lawrence (pre-season #16) at 2:00 p.m. on
Saturday, March 6th.
The second event will take place on May 8th and will feature
perennial powerhouse Maryland taking on
Colgate. That will be followed by defending New
York state champion Manhasset versus conference
rival Cold Spring Harbor. Tickets will be required
for this event and will be on sale starting April 1 through the
Indians Rock Website at www.irockfundhome.org.
The Lacrosse Day of Champions events start on Friday, March 5 with
youth tournaments for grades 4-9. Some slots are still available,
and teams can register at www.irockfundhome.org/LAXDAY.html.
Each team will be guaranteed at least three games. Each roster
player will receive complimentary tickets to both the March 6
Haverford-St. Lawrence game and the May 8 Maryland-Colgate game.
Visit the web site for more details about the tournament and
registration.
Tickets for the May 8th Maryland-Colgate will be priced at $10 for
adults and $5 for those 18 years and younger. Tickets will go on
sale April 1st at the www.irockfundhome.org
