Greater Utah Lacrosse League Partners With Adrenaline
from press release
SALT LAKE CITY — The Greater Utah Lacrosse League (GULL) today announced a partnership with Adrenaline Lacrosse to take the local youth league to the next level of growth. Adrenaline Lacrosse of San Diego is a top brand in lacrosse leagues, tournaments and gear, and promotes a positive culture for the sport. The resulting league – Adrenaline Youth Lacrosse - Utah – will continue to offer traditional youth teams for novice to experienced players, and now can offer opportunities to excel in the sport with club teams, professional coaching, clinics with professional players and recruiting services for elite players.
"Adrenaline is partnering with the Greater Utah Lacrosse League to put Utah on the map as a lacrosse hot spot," said Scott Hochstadt, Adrenaline Lacrosse chief development officer. "It's taken a lot of commitment and effort for the GULL leaders to grow this league, and we're happy to have found an organization that shares our vision and passion for this sport."
"We started the Greater Utah Lacrosse League in 2010 to support growing enthusiasm for the sport," said Renee Tribe, GULL co-founder. "The league currently involves more than 2,300 families from Logan to Payson, and this partnership with Adrenaline will bring additional structure and continued momentum."
Adrenaline Lacrosse brings broad experience in operating regional leagues and national tournaments. Its nationwide brand builds immediate awareness and carries cache with players, and the Utah league will leverage Adrenaline's network of professional lacrosse coaches and players to help train and develop local coaches and players. Through the Adrenaline Festivals and Tournament Series, players will have opportunities to play at ever-increasing levels of competition and witness the sport at its most elite level. Additionally, Adrenaline brings enormous support for administrative and back office resources.
Lacrosse, termed "America's First Sport," originated with Native Americans and is the fastest growing team sport in the United States, reports the Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association. According to US Lacrosse, the national governing body for lacrosse, 361,275 children under the age of 15 played lacrosse nationwide in 2011, a nearly 64 percent jump compared with 2006.
