How much is too much to pay for a new titanium shaft? Can you recommend a stick head that's best suited for a defenseman? My club coach wants me to commit to lacrosse year-round, and says he'll help me get recruited, but I'd rather continue playing basketball in the winter. What should I do? How do I develop my non-dominant hand? What's the best way to avoid shooting space violations without giving up the farm? What footwear works best for a synthetic turf surface? How can I jump off the wing faster on a faceoff?
We get questions like these all the time - now we have the resources to answer them.
Joining the Lacrosse Magazine Online team this spring are Lindsey Biles and Matt Zash, who are on board to answer all of your burning questions in LMO's new "Straight Shooters" series.
Biles, 24, was an All-American and Tewaaraton Trophy finalist during her career at Princeton University. She graduated in 2005 ranked second among the Tigers' all-time leading scorers with 175 goals and 221 points. Biles, who helped lead Princeton to consecutive NCAA Division I championships in 2002-03, was also a member of the 2006-07 U.S. Women's Elite Team.

Zash, also 24, flourished as a two-way midfielder at Duke University, where his play between the lines helped the Blue Devils to the 2005 Division I national championship game. A two-time All-American while at Duke, Zash has played professionally for the MLL's Barrage and the NLL's New York Titans. He owns and operates The Lax Hut, a lacrosse store in Massapequa, N.Y., while working towards a master's degree in physical education at Hofstra University. He hopes to follow his former Duke mentor, current Bryant University men's lacrosse coach Mike Pressler, into the college coaching profession.
