from Press Release

Georgia defender Kelly Arnhart earned the Amtahcha Award as the Player of the Year for WCLA Division I (Paul Ohanian)

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (May 7, 2014) – Kelly Arnhart of Georgia and Audrey Wang of UC San Diego were named as the recipients of the 2014 Amtahcha Award as the top players in their respective divisions of the US Lacrosse Women's Collegiate Lacrosse Associates (WCLA). Both players were honored during ceremonies held on Wednesday evening.

The Amtahcha Awards were established in 2012 by a gift from Dr. Larry Feldman, founder of LaxPower.com, to the US Lacrosse Foundation.

Arnhart, a two-time, first team All-American defender, led Georgia to a 14-5 record in the regular season and helped the Bulldogs earn the No. 4 seed for the Division I national championship taking place in Virginia Beach this week. Wang, a first team All-American attacker, led UC San Diego to a perfect 14-0 record and the No. 10 seed in Division II for the national championships.
