After limited inter-region play the last few weeks, there are two key tournaments this weekend that will help shape the postseason in the US Lacrosse Women's Division Intercollegiate Associates.

Defending national champion Colorado State hosts the Rocky Mountain Shootout this weekend. The Rams enter the weekend ranked seventh in the country. Joining them in Fort Collins will be three other ranked teams - No. 4 Michigan, No. 10 BYU and No. 18 Minnesota. Denver's club team and Wyoming are also on the schedule.

In the East, No. 22 Pittsburgh welcomes No. 5 Santa Clara, No. 13 Virginia Tech Club, No. 16 Miami (Ohio), Penn State Club and Texas A&M to Western Pennsylvania for the 12th annual Pitt Invitational at the Cost Center.

One of the biggest non-tournament games of the weekend takes place when Southeastern Women's Lacrosse League frontrunners Central Florida and Georgia meet at the Savannah College of Art & Design on Sunday. Central Florida, ranked 15th, improved to 12-3 with a big 12-9 win over Florida Club last week. Georgia, ranked sixth, meets Georgia Tech on Saturday before the game with Central Florida.

No. 11 Florida Club will look to bounce back from that loss to UCF with games at South Florida against the host Bulls and No. 20 Miami (Fla.).

In other events involving ranked teams, Virginia Club hosts its annual Lax on the Lawn tournament with a number of the top teams in the Mid Atlantic Women's Lacrosse League participating. The host Cavaliers and Maryland Club headline the field after being tied for 25th in this week's poll. JMU club, UNC-Wilmington, Villanova Club and William & Mary Club are also on the schedule.

No. 24 Texas entertains Rice, Southwestern and Texas State in Texas Women's Lacrosse League action.
