Video: High School Goalie Scores 80-Yard Goal

St. Stephen's & St. Agnes (Va.) School boys' lacrosse goalie Sam Beazell scored an 80-yard goal Friday in the Saints' 8-5 victory over Woodberry Forest (Va.) in the state semifinals at Randolph-Macon College, where they went on to upset No. 24 Paul VI (Va.) in the championship game.

The news that Johns Hopkins would finally say goodbye to its independent status and apply for affiliation with a conference came as no surprise. For Hopkins, it was not a question of if, but when it would announce its intentions to join a league.

Cornell Asserts Its Trademark Hustle

As much as Cornell eliminated Maryland on Saturday due to the dominating presence of Rob Pannell on attack, it was the overall identity of the Big Red that ruled the day in its first-round, 16-8 rout of the Terrapins.
