Gettysburg's Robinson Earns National Honor

from press release

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg College sophomore Lindsey Robinson (Potomac, Md./Holton-Arms) was named the Offensive Player of the Week by WomensLacrosse.com following her scoring display against the University of Mary Washington last week.

Robinson turned in career highs with five goals and nine points as No. 5 Gettysburg turned away No. 16 Mary Washington 17-6 on Feb. 24. Robinson tossed in the first goal of the year for the Bullets 1:32 into the game, and added four more scores before the opening half let out. She added three of her four assists in the second half to top her previous personal mark for points by four.

Robinson's performance marked Gettysburg's best individual scoring effort in a season opener since Becky Bucha '02 recorded nine points against Mary Washington to start the 2001 campaign.

Next up for Gettysburg (1-0) is a home date with Elizabethtown College on Saturday, March 5, at 1 p.m.
