WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Lindsey West announced Wednesday the captains for her 2011 squad. Senior Paola Aguilar and junior Alexis Landau have both been named as co-captains for the second consecutive year.

Aguilar, a four-year starter for the Hornets, earned first team All-USA South honors on defenselast season after leading the team with 41 groundballs and 39 caused turnovers.

Aguilar is a two-sport athlete, playing field hockey in the fall, and has been named to the USA South Conference All-Academic team the past three years.

Last season, she was an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III selection and this year was selected to the Shenandoah University chapter of the Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society.

Landau transferred into SU prior to the start of the 2009-10 academic year and immediately established herself as of the team's leaders.
