W: Gettysburg Sweeps Centennial Honors
from press release
LANCASTER, Pa. – Seniors Hollis Stahl (Hightstown,
N.J./Peddie School) and Kristen Krammer (Woodbine, Md./Glenelg)
swept the weekly awards offered by the Centennial Conference on
Monday, April 12. Stahl was tabbed Offensive Player of the Week,
while Krammer was Defensive Player of the Week.
Stahl picked up weekly accolades from the conference for the second
time this season after landing the defensive award on March 29 and
it was her sixth career selection as the week's top player,
including fourth on offense. She poured in six goals on 11 shots
and added three assists as Gettysburg posted wins over McDaniel
College (16-12) and Haverford College (12-3). Stahl tallied two
goals and one assist against the Green Terror, while putting up
four goals and two helpers against the Fords.
Stahl leads Gettysburg with 37 goals, 31 ground balls, and 34 draw
controls this spring. She is just two points shy of becoming the
seventh Bullet with 200 career points.
Krammer reeled in her fourth career weekly defensive honor after
stopping 20-of-35 shot attempts for a 51.7 save percentage and 7.50
goals against average. She made eight stops in the win over
McDaniel and she tied a season best with a dozen stops in holding
Haverford to its lowest scoring output of the season (3).
Like Stahl, Krammer is on the cusp of a career milestone as one
more victory in the cage will give her the school's career record.
She is currently 51-14 in four years at Gettysburg, tying her with
2004 alum Liz Borucki for the most wins in school history. In 12
starts this season, Krammer has recorded a 7.73 GAA and a
career-best save percentage of 50.9.
Gettysburg and its newly anointed Players of the Week will tackle
Dickinson College (6-3, 3-2 CC) in Carlisle, Pa., on Wednesday,
April 7, at 4 p.m.
