Cortland's Abbott Honored by the SUNYAC

CORTLAND, N.Y.
- Cortland sophomore midfielder Lindsay Abbott (South Onondaga/Onondaga) has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) women's lacrosse Player of the Week for the week ending March 28.

Abbott registered 11 goals and three assists during a 2-1 week for the Red Dragons. In a 16-7 win at Rochester, she finished with seven goals and one assist and became just the 10th sophomore in school history, and the 31st Cortland player overall, to surpass 100 career points.

Abbott finished the week with three goals and two assists in a 13-8 win over visiting Ithaca. She presently has 89 goals and 22 assists for 111 career points.

Cortland is off to a 4-1 start and is ranked ninth nationally in Division III by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
