McKeown Named CSAC Player of the Week

ASTON, Pa. – Taylor McKeown has been named the
Colonial States Athletic Conference Player of the Week in women's
lacrosse for the week ending March 14, 2010 according to an
announcement made today by the commissioners. The sophomore
attacker is averaging four goals per game for the season to lead
Marywood in goals and points.
McKeown (Nashua, NH) scored six goals to lead the Marywood to a
21-8 win over Randolph College in the Pacers' season-opener on
March 1st. The sophomore turned in a five-goal performance on March
3rd as Marywood claimed 13-12 overtime victory against Sweet Briar
College and tallied two goals in 17-8 loss to Bridgewater College
the following day.
McKeown added three goals and one assist in 13-12 loss to Elmira on
Sunday. Averaging four goals per game, McKeown leads Marywood with
16 goals and 17 points and has also been credited with five
groundballs, five caused turnovers, and four draw controls.
Marywood, currently 2-2 on the season, opens conference play on
Tuesday when they travel to Neumann University for a CSAC match-up
scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
