Gettysburg's Stahl Named Player of the Week
from press release
LANCASTER, Pa. - Junior Hollis Stahl (Highstown, N.J./Peddie
School) was tabbed the Centennial Conference Women's Lacrosse
Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, March 2, following her
season-opening performance against the University of Mary
Washington last Thursday.
Stahl tied a career mark with seven goals in Gettysburg College's
18-10 victory over the University of Mary Washington on Feb. 26.
She scored four goals in the opening half to stake the sixth-ranked
Bullets to a 9-5 advantage and added three more in the final
period, the last giving the hosts a nine-goal lead. Stahl also set
a personal best with 14 shots in the contest, three more than her
previous high and only seven less than the Eagles' team total, in
addition to posting two ground balls, one draw control, and three
caused turnovers.
Monday's award marked the third weekly conference nod in Stahl's
career. Last season, she was named the CC Offensive Player of the
Week after leading the Bullets to a 19-17 overtime victory over
Middlebury College. She also landed defensive honors two weeks
later.
Stahl will lead the Bullets into action this Wednesday, March 4,
against No. 19 Rowan University. Game time is set for 4:30 in
Glassboro, N.J.
