Pfeiffer's Ryan Named Conference Carolinas Player of Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Pfeiffer's University's Caitlin Ryan (1-1 overall, 1-0 conference) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas women's lacrosse Player of the Week during week number one in the 2009 season.
Falcon goalkeeper, Caitlin Ryan, led her team to a 7-6 victory over nationally ranked No. 10 Belmont Abbey College on Saturday in Misenheimer, N.C. The Perth, Australia freshman had 11 saves against 15 shots on goal, giving her a save percentage of 73.3%. She let in only two goals in the last 45 minutes of the game.
Ryan led the defense to mark nine team caused turnovers, not including her additional three individual caused turnovers.
