Conference Carolinas Tabs Limestone's Prager
from press release
GAFFNEY, S.C. – Limestone College junior attacker Racquel Prager (Seaford, N.Y.) has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week as announced by the league on Tuesday, March 29.
Prager posted one of the more impressive outings in recent memory in a pair of victories this past week to earn the recognition. She opened the week with a blitz against Merrimack, who is currently receiving votes in the IWLCA National Poll, as she scored seven goals on seven shots and added an assist. Her performance played a key role in the Saints 15-12 victory.
Following that game, she was one of six different Limestone players to record a goal in a narrow 7-6 victory over Pfeiffer on March 24. For the week, Prager finished with eight goals and nine points as she helped No. 3 Limestone to a 2-0 week and a 9-0 overall record on the season.
It is the third time this season a Limestone College women's lacrosse player has earned the award. She joins Brittany Howard and Chelsea Treat as previous Saints award winners.
Limestone resumes play this weekend when they host Queens (6-5, 3-0) in a showdown for first place in Conference Carolinas. Game time is set for 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 2 at Saints Field.
