Kennedy Recognized by Conference Carolinas

HIGH POINT, N.C. -
Pfeiffer University's Jessica Kennedy (4-1 overall, 2-0 conf.) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas women's lacrosse Player of the Week during week number three in the 2010 season. Kennedy helped the Lady Falcons to a 1-1 week that included a second-straight league win to stand atop the Conference Carolinas standings.

Kennedy, a junior midfielder, began the week with a seven-goal, one assist performance against league foe Belmont Abbey. Kennedy had five draw controls, to go along with her groundball and nine shots on goal. On Saturday, in a late loss to No. 6 West Chester, Kennedy tallied three more goals with four additional draw controls, a groundball and a caused turnover. Kennedy also added four shots on goal.

The Lady Falcons will return to action today against Fort Lewis at 3:00 p.m. and host Bloomsburg on Thursday beginning at 11:00 a.m.
