Bloomsburg Rolls Past Seton Hill in Opener

BLOOMSBURG- Tia Mazzie (Barto/Boyertown) scored four goals and eight players scored in all as the Bloomsburg University lacrosse team beat Seton Hill, 18-2, in the season-opener for both teams.

The Huskies wasted little time getting on the board scoring just 1:46 into the game when Samantha King (Elkton, MD/Northeast) scored. Kelsey Quigley (Lansdale/Methacton) followed with back-to-back goals to make it 3-0 less than four minutes into the game and the Huskies would never look back.

Bloomsburg led 9-1 at halftime with Mazzie scoring twice, then, added nine more goals in the second with Mazzie getting two more. Quigley and King both finished with three goals. In all the Huskies outshot the Griffins 57-10.

Bloomsburg, 1-0, will play at Millersville on March 10 at 4 p.m.
