from press release
SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Siena scored four straight
goals late in the first half to build a six-goal lead and wouldn't
look back as the Saints posted their first win of 2011, downing
Bryant 15-10 in Smithfield, R.I. Michelle Andreo led the Saints
with four goals while freshman Kelly Perry scored the first three
goals of her career in completing the hat trick. Caitlin Mikel
scored her first two goals of the season and finished with three

offensive contributions from a number of players. Katie Maguire

Allie Primo accounted for the others.
Bryant (0-3) jumped out to an early 2-0 lead less than five minutes into the contest. Deloria scored the go-ahead goal on a free position shot at the 19:55 mark to put Siena on top for good. The Bulldogs rattled off three consecutive tallies midway through the second half to pull within 11-8, but Andreo netted three of the final four Siena scores down the stretch to secure the win.
Andreo added three groundballs in leading the Saints. Mikel picked up a team-high five groundballs, while Kristin McMillan caused a squad leading three turnovers and added an assist. Kristin Concordia made six saves in goal to earn the win.
Katherine Keckeisen and Haley Bloom led Bryant with three goals apiece.
Siena out-shot Bryant 38-24 and held a 23-16 edge in groundballs while forcing the Bulldogs into 21 turnovers.
The Saints return to action Saturday when they host Long Island for the front end of a men's and women's lacrosse doubleheader at Siena Turf Field starting at 11 a.m.
