Louisville's Kaylin Morissette Named Epoch/LM Player of the Week
Morissette scored two goals, dished three assists and hauled in nine draw controls. She did most of her damage in the second half, as the Cardinals rallied from a three-goal deficit and took a brief lead when Hannah Koloski converted a Morissette feed with 3:02 remaining.
The Irish scored an equalizer with 1:04 left. Neither team scored in the first three minutes of overtime. After switching sides, Morissette won the draw to herself and nine seconds later fed Kelli Gerding for the game-winning goal.
Morissette also had two goals and two assists in Louisville's win over Northwestern two days earlier. The Cardinals (7-0) ascended to No. 5 in the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Top 20.
