Syracuse's Kayla Treanor Named Epoch/LM Player of the Week

Kayla Treanor has added a dominant draw game to her other-worldly scoring ability. Both were on display Sunday in Syracuse's win over Northwestern.

Treanor, who scored four goals and racked up 14 draw controls in a 16-12 victory over the Wildcats, is the Epoch/Lacrosse Magazine Player of the Week. The senior attacker has averaged an NCAA Division I-best 13 draw controls per game during the Orange's 5-0 start. She's also tied for seventh with 21 points (11 goals, 10 assists).

Treanor did most of her scoring with three goals in the first half, then helped fuel a five-goal Syracuse run to start the second half with her performance in the center circle. The No. 2 Orange host No. 3 Florida in a huge Top 5 showdown Tuesday at 12 p.m.
