Women's Composite Top 20: Maryland and Syracuse Knotted

by Sean Burns | LaxMagazine.com | Twitter

Maryland edged Syracuse, North Carolina edged Maryland, and now Syracuse edged North Carolina. What's that mean in the WD1 world? For this week, it means the one-loss Terrapins and Orange split the No. 1 nods. (Greg Wall)

We've got a tie for the No. 1 title this week, as Maryland and Syracuse split the decision, with the Orange having just toppled previous No. 1 North Carolina, but Maryland holding a head-to-head win over the Orange earlier in the year (and, to make it more confusing, North Carolina, currently third in the composite, has a head-to-head win over Maryland). Florida and Northwestern round out the Top 5.

Each week, we will publish an aggregate of the four major rankings - The Top 20 Lacrosse Magazine, the ILWomen.com media poll, the IWLCA coaches poll and the LaxPower computer rankings. All teams that were either ranked or noted as 'received votes' in one of the polls is listed below.
