Prince Scores Six to Lead Dukes Past Marquette

MILWAUKEE -- Duquesne's lacrosse team improved its record to 2-1 with a 14-10 victory at Marquette Friday afternoon.

The Dukes were led by Caitlin Prince who scored six goals and Amanda Kidder who had three goals, an assist, a school record eight caused turnovers, eight ground balls and four draw controls.

Morgan Matz led the Dukes with three assists while Kristen Gregory made seven saves in goal. Clare Hurley and Kaelin Shaw each had two goals, while Lib Lowry added one.

It was the home opener for Marquette, which lost despite a second-half rally to pull within three goals. Freshman attack Amanda Bochniak and sophomore midfielder Kenzie Brown each posted three goals for the Golden Eagles (2-3), while Bochniak added a pair of assists.
