TOWSON, Md. – Head coach Sonia LaMonica announced a challenging 16 game schedule for the Colonial Athletic Association defending champion Towson University women's lacrosse team in 2013. The schedule includes seven home games, highlighted by a March 26 game against NCAA semi-finalist Maryland.

"As our program continues to get stronger, so too has our game schedule and this year is no different," said LaMonica. "Adding two high caliber programs in UNC and Georgetown to an already challenging line up will provide more opportunities for us to grow and develop our program to the next level. I'm excited for the challenges ahead and to continue cultivating a great experience for our student-athletes."

The Tigers will open their season with three straight road matches, starting Friday, Feb. 15. Towson opens the season at North Carolina, for its fourth all-time meeting with the Tar Heels and first since the NCAA Tournament in 2009.
