Temple to Host Philly 5 Alumnae Challenge and Tournament

PHILADELPHIA - The sixth annual Philly 5 Lacrosse Tournament returns to Temple on Sunday, Oct. 7 at Geasey Field, and this year welcomes the addition of the Philly 5 Alumnae Challenge. The annual tournament will features the Owls, past and present, along with current teams and former players from Drexel, La Salle, Saint Joseph's and Villanova in fall exhibition play.
This tournament, which features the top lacrosse talent in the area, will now mark the first time that Philadelphia collegiate lacrosse alums can compete against each other. Fans will be able to witness the top local rivalries in action at this highly-anticipated annual event.
The Philly 5 Tournament aims to bring Division I women's lacrosse schools in the Philadelphia area together for a day of competition and promotion of the sport in the city. The five college teams will play from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., followed by games between the alums of the participating schools.
