Denver Routs Fresno for 11th Straight Win

FRESNO, Calif. - University of Denver sophomore
Gretchen Nace (Rochester, N.Y.) and freshman Jill Remenapp
(Woodbine, Md.) both tallied hat tricks, as the Pioneers dominated
Fresno State in a 17-4 victory on Friday.
"The team came out hard, and it was exciting to get everyone into both halves today," head coach Liza Kelly said. "Fresno State has truly improved as a team and played hard for 60 minutes."
Redshirt junior Kara Secora (Denver, Colo.) added two goals and an assist for Denver (11-1, 5-0 MPSF), and senior Becca Steinberg (Millersville, Md.) scored a pair of goals for the Pioneers.
DU jumped all over the Bulldogs (2-9, 0-5 MPSF) early, scoring 14 goals in the first half. The Pioneers dominated shots 26-16, ground balls 16-11 and draw controls 14-9.
For the second-straight game, senior Ashley Harman (Boyertown, Pa.) and redshirt freshman Hannah Hook (Arnold, Md.) combined for the win, as Hook made six saves in nearly 46 minutes while Harman did not face a shot on goal in 14 minutes in the cage.
The Pioneers next head to UC Davis for a meeting with the Aggies on Sunday at 1 p.m. MT.
