St. Bonaventure Snaps Five-Game Losing Streak

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - Daisy
Timlin tallied four points on three goals and an
assist, Elspeth McGarry scored three times, and St.
Bonaventure (3-5) hung on for a 15-13 win over Bucknell (3-11) at
McGraw-Jennings Field on Tuesday.
The Bonnies jumped out to a 9-2 lead by the 12:59 mark of the first half and enjoyed a 12-5 cushion just over four minutes into the second half before the Bison charged back.
Madison Hurwitz netted three goals and sparked a Bison rally. Bucknell tallied six of the game's next seven goals to pull within two, 13-11, with 8:08 to go, but the Bonnies clamped down to snap their five-game losing streak after Mackenzie Jordan's free-position goal and an unassisted marker from Timlin.
Sophomore netminder Sara Schlagenhauf (2-1) stopped 11 shots in the cage, one off her career high set at La Salle nine days ago.
SBU returns to conference play with a pair of games over the weekend. The Bonnies visit Saint Joseph's (4-8, 0-3 Atlantic 10) on Friday, before travelling to No. 17 Massachusetts (12-1, 3-0) on Sunday.
