Duquesne Ends Non-Conference With Detroit Win

Duquesne's lacrosse team wrapped up the non-conference portion of its schedule with an 18-6 victory over visiting Detroit, Sunday afternoon on Rooney Field.

Caitlin Prince led the Dukes with five goals, followed by Clare Hurley with four, Amanda Kidderwith three and Haley Marafioti with two. Meredith Dunn, Cailin Colegrove, Michelle Morris andTaylor Denk each had one score.

The Dukes scored early and often, jumping out to a 11-0 lead in the first 16 minutes of the game and taking a 12-1 lead into the intermission. With a running clock, the Dukes had assists on all six second half goals. led by Elise Caldwell with three helpers.

Liz Walker played the first 30 minutes in goal, making four saves to collect her seventh win whileKristen Gregory played all 30 second half minutes, making eight stops.
