The Dolphins (3-1) fell behind 2-0 before getting untracked with sophomore Ali Hoffman took a pass from Jess Hotchkiss and scored with 14:53 to play in the first half.
The Hawks' (1-3) leading scored, Grace Dinn, followed with a goal and the Dolphins then unloaded eight consecutive scores for an 8-3 lead to ice the game. Cosgrove and junior Ellyn Spangenberg with two each, Hoffman, Kayleigh Hynes, Nicole Albino and Abby
Warnken all were part of the onslaught.
Spangenberg added a third goal later and sophomore midfielder Kaitlin Stewart had a score.
The JU defense held Dinn, who entered with 14 goals, to one.
Junior Rachel Hannon was a defensive stalwart as she caused three turnovers and Stewart had a pair.
