Jorgensen Joins Denver Women's Lacrosse Staff

All-American Alivian Coates Jorgensen has joined the Pioneers
coaching staff as an assistant coach, head women's lacrosse coach
Liza Kelly announced today.
"I am so excited to welcome Alivian to the Pioneer Lacrosse Family," Kelly said. "Her experience alone is incredible at the college, high school and club levels, but her positive outlook makes her a great fit at Denver."
Jorgensen, who will serve as midfield coach and recruiting coordinator, joins the Pioneers staff after serving in a variety of positions as head coach, assistant coach and athletic director at the NCAA Division I, high school and club levels. Jorgensen most recently served as head coach at St. Mary's Academy in Englewood, Colo.
As a student-athlete at James Madison, Jorgensen was a two-time All-American in 1999 and 2000, as well as being named an Academic All-American. Jorgensen helped lead the Dukes to the NCAA all four seasons, including a trip to the Final Four as a senior in 2000. She remains ranked sixth on JMU's all-time career draw control list.
Jorgensen replaces Devon Wills, who accepted a position on the Southern Cal women's lacrosse staff.
