Big Ten Network Antes Up, Puts NCAA Women's Lacrosse Final Four on TV
from press release
EVANSTON, Ill. – For the first time ever, the Big Ten Network will televise action from the semifinals and title game of the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship, the Network announced Thursday.
Northwestern's semifinal matchup with North Carolina will be shown on tape delay Friday while Sunday's championship match is scheduled to air live on BTN.
The Wildcats and Tar Heels square off at 6:30 p.m. CT Friday in Stony Brook, N.Y., site of this year's championship weekend. The game is scheduled to air at 9:30 p.m. CT on Big Ten Network, following the conclusion of live coverage of the Big Ten Baseball Tournament.
Both semifinal games will also re-air on Saturday morning, with the Maryland-Duke game beginning at 7 a.m. CT and Northwestern-North Carolina following at 9 a.m. CT.
Action culminates on Sunday with the national championship game, which is scheduled to air live at 3 p.m. CT, once again following live telecasts of the Big Ten Baseball Tournament. If baseball coverage runs long, the Big Ten Network will join the lacrosse championship in progress and re-air the game in its entirety Sunday night.
All three of this weekend's games will stream live as previously announced on NCAA.com. The game is also available on WNUR 89.3 FM radio. The latest broadcast coverage information for all Northwestern sports is always available at NUsports.com/OnTheAir.
