Duquesne Pounds Fresno on Senior Day

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Duquesne's lacrosse team wrapped up its regular season with a 17-6 victory over visiting Fresno State Saturday morning at Rooney Field.

Senior Katie Rekart and sophomore Meredith Dunn each scored four goals for the Dukes while Cailin Colegrove added three. Casey Denk and Caitlin Prince each scored a pair of goals and Haley Marafioti and Elise Caldwell both scored once.

Rekart, playing in her last home game for the Dukes, also added two assists to give her a team-high 59 points on the season (46 goals, 13 assists). Fellow senior Courtney Lambert had three ground balls and two caused turnovers in the contest. The duo was honored in a pre-game Senior Day ceremony.

The Dukes return to action on Friday, April 29 as they compete in one of two Atlantic 10 Championship semifinals. Brackets and game times will be released by the Atlantic 10 on Monday.
