Eagles Top Terriers for Boston Bragging Rights

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- The No. 14 Boston
College women's lacrosse team defeated Boston University Wednesday
10-7, in their final home game of the season. The Eagles improve to
9-5 on the season and 1-4 in the ACC, while BU drops to 6-6 and is
2-1 in the America East Conference.
Sophomore Brooke Blue continued her offensive dominance, scoring
two goals and had one assist. Also contributing for the Eagles were
senior Hannah Alley and junior Brittany Wilton, each with two goals
as well. Wilton added three assists.
Boston College jumped out to an early 3-0 lead with 17:29
remaining in the half on a Blue goal, and would take a 7-3 lead
into the half. The Terriers scored twice early in the second half
to cut the BC lead to two, but the Eagles would respond scoring
four straight goals, capped off by a Kristin Igoe goal with 7:13
remaining, giving the Eagles their largest lead of the evening.
Boston College will travel to Vermont on Sunday, April 17, to face
the Catamounts at 1 p.m. for another non-conference game. Next week
BC will travel to Cary, N.C., to begin the ACC tournament on April
21.
Sophomore Danielle Etrasco paced the Terriers with three goals
BU edged the Eagles in draw controls by a 10-9 margin but was topped in ground balls, 17-15. The Terriers were 15-for-17 on clears and 1-for-4 on free-position shots, while Boston College finished 12-for-14 and 1-for-7, respectively.
