Richmond Downs LaSalle for Third Straight

PHILADELPHIA - Richmond won its third straight with a dominating 15-4 win over La Salle Friday in Philadelphia, Pa.

The Explorers scored the game's first two goals but Richmond responded with three unanswered to claim the lead, 3-2, with 10 minutes remaining in the first. La Salle would score once more, but the Spiders rattled off two tallies to take a 5-3 lead into the break.

The Spiders came out in the last frame firing on all cylinders, scoring five unanswered goals to take a commanding 9-3 lead with 20 minutes remaining. La Salle would score once more, but the Spiders closed out the game with five more tallies for the win.

Richmond owned every facet of the game, out shooting La Salle 33-23 and winning the draw 13-8. Victoria Roebuck had 12 saves in the net.

Wiegand led with four tallies, while Anne Ryan and Caitlin Fifield each had a hat trick. Julianne Nicola had four assists.

Richmond plays at Temple Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
